Delightful Design: A Town & Country Family

As a single gal I was relieved that despite the label, Lonny's first Wedding Issue, there were still plenty of amazing homes featured. This couple designed their two homes, one in NYC and the other a weekend retreat just outside the city, to be both chic and family friendly. Priceless antiques and vintage pieces mix seamlessly with the more contemporary furnishings in these bright and airy (and in the city - colorful!) homes. The bedroom above, I can't even handle the linens. All those lovely blues need to come live at my house!

I alos love the pull-out desk feature of this built-in bookcase. Not only you you not need to take up the full 24" real estate that's you'd need for a proper built-in desk but you also don't have to make your built-in resemble kitchen uppers and lowers. Genius! I'll need to remember this for future projects.

I also love the simplicity of this bedroom, the couple's master in their country retreat. What's wrong with me, why can't I decide on simply versus colorful?

How amazing is this playroom? It's fun and entertaining for the kiddos without bringing in bold colors and plastic children's toys. All those same things we loved as children but can't really stand the sight of as adults. I'm kind of loving the throwback happening right now with all the wooded toys - play kitchens, trains, and teepees!
