Operation Bedroom

Wednesday morning I woke up, a good start to any day. But I immediately wanted to close my eyes again. And not for the usual sleep deprived reasons. It suddenly hit me that I've live in my apartment for four years and haven't changed a single thing about this blah space since day one. I am sick of the mismatched storage, the wall color, the stripes of paint samples I put up last year. It's well past time for a revamp. I'm still not ready to spend the money on a "forever" dresser so I'm going to update my principle storage with Ikea again. But my previous dresser was Ikea and it's still in perfect shape. My question for you this morning is what color gray should I use on the walls?

I'm leaning towards Cumulus Cloud, but won't know until I've sample all three in the space. Paint's a tricky thing, you never can tell.

P.S. I'm so proud of my GIF - thanks again Blogshop

  2. I have tons of grey walls but no idea what color it is! I like the lightest of them all - Balboa Mist all the way!

    1. Thanks for your suggestions. I bought the paint samples at 7am this morning but have been running around non-stop since. Hopefully I'll get them up tonight and we'll see what works best.

    1. Oh my god, the brass knobs have turned my ikea dresser into a thing of beauty, it's remarkable! In terms of painting in the winter, thermal underwear and open windows? I run hot so it doesn't bother me to have the windows open while painting. Another alternative is to choose a paint that is low VOC or no VOC which will help with the fumes. Most major brands have these options. I use Ben Moore Aura simply because I'm too lazy to paint a priming coat so there is a bit a smell but not too bad.
