Fireplace Firescapes

The past two days have been mighty cold with bouts of both rain and snow.  As I sit here shivering inside my apartment my thoughts naturally turn towards fireplaces and my lack of this charming interior detail. However, even if I did have one I probably would never use it for fireburning. A horrifying play put on by the fire department every year at my grade school left me with an unhealthy fear of the flame. Seriously, I only recently have come to grips with burning candles. But this doesn't mean I can't still appreciate a gorgeous fireplace, especially if it's well styled with stacked logs or books.
