Revere Pewter

All summer I've been admiring the hallway color in my brother's summer rental. It is the perfect gray that I've been struggling to find for my living room. Not too blue, not too red, not too yellow.  Finally after long last I discovered the old paint tins in the basement and the winner is: Revere Pewter from Benjamin Moore. Queue the angelic singing. Just look how lovely it is in the living room below. Even though they're not in my color scheme, I especially love it paired with slate blue and lemony yellow. Now I just need to make a little room in my schedule to paint!

  1. I LOVE how these colors not only look, but how they all look TOGETHER! I might consider this combination of colors when it's time to paint my home again. I also like the crown molding in the room. Would crown molding in a ranch house (which is the type of home I own) appropriate, or would that be ridiculous looking in such a small home? I'm glad I found your blog (which I found through Pinterest).

    1. Layla, I'm glad you found my blog as well! I don't think crown molding would be inappropriate for your ranch. It seems to me that this house pictured in the post could very well be a ranch as well. I have crown molding and I live in a condo building in the city.

  2. Allison, I used half-strength Wedgewood Gray in my dining room, full strength WG in my kitchen and cabinets and trim in Sherwin Williams Dover White, including double width pocket French doors between. I used a black and soft white checkerboard floor and mottled black/gray countertops. Antique brass light fixtures, knobs and bin pulls. Our house is a 1918/1920 era and the changes fit perfectly. I couldn't love the colors more.

  3. I love the entire design of this room! I have an apartment right now and this is very simple yet stylish for an apartment. The dramatic gallery wall is beautiful and slightly understated with the white frames and matting. Where did you find the frames? I didn't catch it at first, but the ceiling fan is amazing. The drum shade adds a touch of sophistication to the room. Did this ceiling fan come together like this or was it a DIY?

    1. I don't know the exact color but my guess is that it's White Dove from Benjamin Moore.
