Apologies for the lack of posts and late posts this week. Things have been a little crazy for me with clients and business projects lately. And to top things off I'm trying to organize my new condo. This means that not only is my dining room table covered with fabric memos, space plans and other paperwork but my entire house is topsy-turvy. I must be slightly insane to have started this massive undertaking when I still haven't fully organized my "work space."
Ever since I started working from home full time, I have struggled with extra amounts of stress. Because I don't have a spare room to use as an office I'm not able to shut the door on my mess at the end of the day. Having my dining table/desk continuously cluttered is causing my OCD to go into overdrive thus preventing me from being able to recharge at the end of the day. The trouble is lack of storage. I need everything to have a place at the end of the day (preferably behind closed cabinet doors or in baskets) so, you know, I can actually use my table to eat dinner.
Little by little I've been assessing how much storage I need and sourcing pieces. One of these days I'll be able to focus long enough to finish and I'll have a well organized home which will be key for helping me relax and de-stress after the "work day" is done.
