Lots to do this weekend! Errands, life & business organization and client meetings are ahead of me on Saturday so I want a comfortable and colorful outfit to take on the day. It's still a little cool here even though were moving into late spring but I just can't wear regular dark wash jeans another day. Aqua blue skinnys to the rescue!

Repin!
I've feel a bit sluggish this morning because of missing my regular evening gym classes due to dinner engagements the past three nights. Seems like the perfect morning to discuss recently repinned images. I think I'm swinging back into a neutral phase in terms of my person interior style so these images had me yelling "REPIN" as soon as I came across them.
Love the farmhouse table. Love the french doors. Makes me miss my apartment in Milan (even though my roommate was a horror and the apartment was less than ideal it still had those gorgeous window/doors).
From the May House Beautiful - a Nate Berkus office intervention.
Factory windows. Someday I'll have a Spanish colonial house with loads of these iron windows. Maybe.
Someday I'll also have a house that looks like this with an awesome courtyard and french doors.
Joan's on Third in LA. I love gourmet food emporiums. Especially ones with such chic style. Reminds me a lot of Caviar and Bananas in Charleston.

Get the Look: Calm & Neutral
Whenever I need inspiration for clean & elegant neutrals I always gravitate back to actress Keri Russell's gorgeous living room. A subtle palette of go to neutrals is paired with plenty of texture and light for an overall effortless feel. The decorative moulding doesn't hurt either. Decorating on a budget? check out how to get this look for less below.
Just add some green and you're good to go with these neutral basics!

Lulu DK | Child
Last week I ran into the Schumacher showroom for some fabric memos and was stopped in my tracks by the display of the new line of children's fabric collaboration between Lulu DK and Schumacher. I was able to keep it together but inwardly I was squealing in delight! Lulu DK| Child combines bold, colorful and whimsical prints and embroideries for a perfect blend of playfulness and sophistication.

Chevron Adoration
It just takes one look at my business cards to determine that I have an inestimable love for all things chevron and zig-zags. Which is why I'm obsessing over the designer Christina Murphy's feature in May's House Beautiful. Just look at those bookshelves and their eggplant zig-zags!
Murphy reveals that while her client was game for a bold color for the bookshelf backs, Murphy pushed for the zig-zags to create additional depth. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I flipped to the next page and fell in love with this condo's kitchen. It can come home with me, yes? The yellow exudes happiness. I'd combine it with my light blue creusets instead of the pictured lime green...
{Many apologies for the horrible scans, I'm not a magician. If you don't already have a copy of this HB issue, I highly suggest you invest!}
Ready for some high-res, unscanned images? Me too. Check out some of my favorites from the portfolio of Christina's design firm, Christina Murphy Interiors.
Coral, neutral and laquer black perfection.
This blue room can come home with me too.

Notepad vs. iPad
Every since I came across this image I've been thinking about going digital, in my note taking that is. I'm a mega lister, I create multiple lists daily for work, errands, Halcyon Style, etc. And up until now I've always written out these lists by hand; there's something cathartic about handwriting these things.
However, using the Penultimate App and a stylus I can still write out my lists by hand but have the ability to erase, use multiple colors, and share digitally. Not to mention that I can also take notes in the same program and save both notes and lists relevant to the same project in the same "notebook." Which would slim down my carryall dramatically.
Sounds good right? There are two problems. First, I don't own an iPad. Further more I can't make up my mind about whether to shell out for one or not. And secondly, I have a major obsession with stationery. Maybe I'll wait for my birthday to roll around...

Delightful Design: Melanie Turner Interiors
I'm loving the designs of Atlanta based Melanie Turner Interiors. Like most designers Turner's portfolio is a mix of styles which reflect her clients' taste, however her signature understated glamour and sophistication is evident throughout. I'm particular fond of her ability to masterfully weave together clean contemporary lines with antique, sculptural elements.
