The soaring temperatures we experienced here yesterday left me wishing for a gigantic {heck, I would have taken minuscule} swimming pool! This desire reminded me of the gorgeous photography of Slim Aarons, legendary for capturing the rich & famous in their playgrounds {the environmental portrait} in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

So interesting, I loved looking at these! Of course, my favorite turned out to be the one in California (2nd from bottom) -- those mountains! Lovely.
